Balancing business, MBA studies, family life, and all the little things that make up a day isn’t just about managing time—it’s about managing myself, my priorities, and my energy. Some days, I feel like I’m wearing all the hats at once: the business owner, the student, the mother, the content creator, the wife, the cook, and more. Each role brings me purpose, but together, they can feel overwhelming.
Finding Intentionality in the Chaos
Time management for me starts with intentionality. I’ve learned to take every day as an opportunity to focus on what really matters. It’s not just about filling up my schedule with tasks, but prioritizing what aligns with my goals and values. Here’s how I look at it: there are things I have to do, things I want to do, and things that just fill up space. Being intentional means I’m constantly refining my days to make room for what counts and cut out what doesn’t.
One of my favorite tricks is a quick “priorities check” every morning. I ask myself: “What are the top three things I absolutely need to get done today?” When I keep it to just three, it’s realistic and prevents me from overwhelming myself before the day even begins.
Embracing Non-Negotiables
Some things are sacred—time with my son, for example, is a non-negotiable. No matter how busy I am, I carve out moments just for us. It could be a few minutes of play, a bedtime story, or even a quick cuddle break in between tasks. These moments give me energy and remind me why I’m doing all of this in the first place.
The same goes for my business and studies. I block out specific hours for work and studying, and I stick to it. I find that when I honor these blocks of time, I actually become more productive. I’m also less likely to feel guilty when I step away to spend time with my family because I know I’ve done my part.

The Power of Self-Motivation (Even on Long Days)
I won’t sugarcoat it: the days are long, and sometimes the nights are even longer. There are days when motivation is hard to muster, especially when exhaustion kicks in. What’s kept me going is my “why.” I remind myself why I started this journey—to build something meaningful, to be a role model for my son, and to create a life that serves others.
One technique that works wonders for me is setting small, achievable goals. When I look at the big picture, it can feel like I have miles to go, but breaking it down into bite-sized pieces makes it manageable. Sometimes it’s as simple as setting a timer for 30 minutes to work on a project or studying for a set period. These mini-goals add up and keep me moving forward without burning out.
Finding Joy in the “Ordinary” Moments
With a busy schedule, finding joy in small, ordinary moments has become my sanctuary. Cooking, for example, has evolved from a chore to a cherished part of my day. I make it my own little ritual—chopping veggies, trying new recipes, or cooking family favorites. It’s a chance to unwind, and the kitchen has become a place where I can be creative while making something that nourishes my family.
Managing a household also brings me a sense of structure and calm. Keeping things organized is a daily effort, especially with a little one around, but I’ve found that having routines—even small ones like prepping clothes for the next day or tidying up before bed—helps keep the chaos at bay.
Tips That Keep Me Grounded
Use Time Blocks for Everything: I block out everything—from work and studies to family time and meal prep. Each block has a specific purpose, and when I’m in one, I try to be fully present. I don’t blend work with family time, and I don’t let studies spill over into the evening. Having clear-cut boundaries lets me focus on what’s in front of me and lets me switch “hats” with ease.
Meal Planning Saves My Life: Planning meals for the week has been a game-changer. It saves me from those last-minute “What should I cook?” dilemmas and keeps me from reaching for unhealthy quick fixes. I plan a mix of easy-to-cook meals and family favorites. I also take advantage of batch cooking when I can, prepping meals that I can freeze or reuse throughout the week.
Be Kind to Yourself: Some days don’t go as planned. Life happens, and it’s okay. On those days, I remind myself that tomorrow is another chance to reset. I’ve learned to be gentler with myself and let go of the unrealistic expectations that everything will be perfect.
Schedule “You Time”: This one took me a while to implement, but I can’t emphasize enough how valuable it is. Even if it’s just 10 minutes of reading or sitting quietly with a cup of tea, carving out small moments for myself recharges me. This little bit of self-care helps me face the busier parts of my day with a clearer mind.
Building a Life of Service and Purpose
At the end of the day, all this juggling is about building something that serves a greater purpose. For me, it’s about serving my clients, empowering women and small business owners, and being present for my family. My role as a business owner is tied to my desire to help others; my studies fuel my growth and vision; and my family brings everything full circle, reminding me daily of what matters most.
Being intentional means shaping each day to embrace what truly matters, while gracefully letting go of what doesn’t.
